Main Housing : All the hoist parts are enclosed in the main housing {1} forming a integral units, The housing is of tie bar Mounting construction.
Motor : Three phase totally enclosed squirrel cage high torque induction motor. {2} working on 415 volts, 50 Hz, AC supply is provided.
Rope drum : The grooved rope drum {3} is manufactured by rolling , welding and precision machining high quality mild steel OR M.S. Seamless Pipe. The diameter of rope drum is so selected as to ensure best possible conditions for wire rope.
Rope Guide Nut : The rope guide is precision machined to suit rope drum grooves and moves over the drum like a nut.
Gear Box : This ia a splash lubricated type, and all helical / Spur & pinions are case hardened. All models have a triple reduction gear box. This assures very smooth and silent working of the hoisting gear.
Rope : Generally the wire for conform to 6 x 37 Construction fibre core, ungalvanized performed type as per IS 2266/1977 mfgd. USHA MARTIN Galvanized and steel core wire ropes, can be supplied if specifically asked for.
Brake : A fail safe Disc/Shoe type electromagnetic brake [6] is provided to hold the load at any position.
Limit Switch : Fully adjustable self resetting limit switiches [7] are provided for top and botom limits of the hook travel.
Hook : Hook is forged from mild steel and fulfills the Requirement of IS - 3815 - 1969. The hook is supplied on a thrust ball bearing to provide 360' swivel.
Control : Usually control of the hoist through pendent Push Button station hanging on a cable from hoist. The control voltage is 42 / 110 V, AC obtained from three phase step-down transformer. This low voltage limits the hazards of electric Shock and provides safer operation.
Power Supply : The power supply is at 415 V, 3 Phase, 50 Hz AC. The Supply to the hoist may be either through spring loaded roller type current collectors and bare copper conductors or through a trailing cable.
Testing : Every hoist unit before despatch is tested at 125% of the rated load capacity on single fall to rope. Only after the hoist passes through rigorous inspection tests, it is approved for despatch.
